Simpl experts present an innovative solution for enterprise energy management
Seymartec Energy International Forum took place in Chelyabinsk, where experts from all over the country presented reports about energy supply, energy efficiency of enterprises in various industries, and digitalization of production processes. Representatives from the IT company Simpl discussed a solution that had radically changed the approach to managing energy installations.
The forum gathered together chief engineers and energy specialists from leading industrial enterprises in Russia and suppliers of engineering systems and IT solutions for the Industry 4.0 concept. The event was focused on the latest trends and strategic issues, and reports on the challenges facing enterprises. After the presentations by top Russian manufacturers, IT companies joined the presentations and reported on the latest changes in their energy solutions.
Simpl has introduced the “Generation” module, which helps company dispatchers monitor generating units in real time and make data-based decisions on their operation.
The solution is presented as a digital twin of the process. The computing core is the mode -economic model of the process. Data is collected from local control systems of generating units. Information about the operation of the energysystem in real time enters the calculation model, where the most efficient mode is automatically calculated and recommendations for switching to this mode are generated.
Anna Fedoseeva, chief analyst at IT company Simpl
— The implementation of the system allowed us to combine energy cost optimization algorithms into a single model, distribute loads between power plant units, take into account the cost of engine hours of power equipment and other tasks. The system also selects the most optimal option, taking into account the totality of all factors. This allowed us to move to a new level of management, increasing the quality and speed of decision-making.
The program determines the most efficient operating mode without loss of system reliability. The chief power engineer’s service not only receives ready-made recommendations, but also has a clear view of all factors influencing the decision-making process.
The product’s operation process was demonstrated to the audience in the form of a simulation of a month of power system operation with imitation of real production processes and external events.
